THE GOOD LIE BY AR TORRE Please this is the BEST murder mystery novel i’ve ever read, it’s just as good as The Silent Patient, it’s so easy to read like Verity but also it gives a sense of what the fuck is happening? like you have no idea what is going on until you finally reached the twist and everything just CONNECTS. like OH?? OH?!? OH THAT’S WHY THIS AND THAT HAPPENED??!!! It’s just THE BEST experience of reading a murder mystery novel in a while. It’s so entertaining and it doesn’t have any boring chapters. It even includes romance in the book so good!

Starting to unhaul myself, I thought it would be hard but I’m starting to love getting rid of to mediocre books to make room for ones I hopefully love 🥰

Okay first of all millie is the biggest hypocrite she accused suzette and made her feel bad for not telling about that little boy who was killed by her husband... and then she herself asked enzo to wash the hands take off the shirt bcz she didn't want her husband to go to prison.. wow👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 if millie was such a saint she should have asked her husband to surrender too just like she blamed everything on suzette for not turning in her husband

Oooh I read I Who Have Never known men last month too! Loved it!! I agree it’s very contemplative and gets your mind thinking on life and purpose. I’m not really religious but I do believe we come here for a purpose. August was a terrible book month for me too… maybe it’s because we are due a much needed summer break, the season is dragging… and our brains are feeling a little over heated and tired 😂? X

I really enjoyed Seven Days in June - and I think because I had read two really heavy and deep books beforehand and so the light and romantic feel of it was a relief! I think Tia Williams wrote the male character well. Sometimes I feel male authors struggle writing female characters in a romance setting and female authors have similar issues with male characters.

I have a book recommendation! So curious if you read it! The life we bury by Allen Eskens! Would love to hear your thoughts on it.

I saw I who have never known men on the video cover, I got excited. I'm so happy you loved it! It was the best book of the year I first read it and it's one of my all time favorite books. I feel like I need to read it every year. It's a small book but it brings out so many thoughts, questions and ideas. I'm really glad you loved it. More people need to read it.

I've only read one by B.A. Paris book, Bring Me Back. Four star for me.

I have not seen anyone do a video on any of the Amazon stories collections, you should do that! There are so many great thriller and horror authors featured, I have really really liked SO many and no one talks about them

I’ve been super slumpy. Only finished one book in August.

I was previously very religious and no long am and it was such a relief to me to NOT have a purpose or “meaning” for my life. Now I feel like as long as I end up net positive then I’ve benefited the world. It’s been freeing to feel like I no longer have a mission I could pass or fail. Now I just focus on living the way that makes me proud of myself. ❤

I was disappointed about Shepherd's book too, DNF it. If you're looking for a great thriller, recommend The Last Party by Torre if you haven't already read it yet (yowza).

You know, I didn't have a great August either and ended up only reading 12 books. That's pretty low for me. I know not everyone believes in such things, but Mercury was retrograde a good portion of the month. I'm putting the blame there! 😆

I'm a bit over half way finished. It's taking me months to read this it's so long and boring 😂 I don't like any of the characters. There's so much filler. Ugh. The rest better be worth it.

You experienced the exact same thing as i was reading the book and took the words out of my mouth! LOL

I was so disappointed when i finished the book. I dont get the hype at all. I was expecting so much more but i had to force myself to get to the end. I liked the first half and it grabbed my attention, so i was expecting the same (or even more) from the second half but it was a whole lot of yapping up until the last like 10 pages. It felt like a waste of time for 290 pages, until the plot happened💀 yea i was pissed when i finished, to say the least...

you should review your ratings cuz 1 star??? if it was 1 star you wouldn't even have finished it. its fine if you didn't like it, but doesn't mean its a 1 star story.. please.

Thank you for reminding me that I need to edit my review of this book. Loved the first one, liked the second, and I finished the third but it was... meh. I didn't care for it at all. It felt like I was reading completely different characters that somehow became incompetent and... what was the point of the housemaid and her epilogue, honestly. She was there for like... 5 pages altogether lol

I read the first book and kind of liked it. It was a decent read but I have no desire to read the sequels. As a writer and avid reader myself the idea that an author slams out one book after another does not bode well for the writing quality. Not much thought, plotting or character development is even possible. Thank you for doing this review. This new sequel does not sound appealing.

The first book was so good. I DNF’d this book, it was just bad. The main character Millie was annoying and immature.

Its Freida so its an automatic NO.

Enjoyed the first, hated the second, & the third was alright.

I'm pretty sure Millie is always the housemaid.....as in The title of the book...(Like I think every book in the series is her in the title) ..I mean IM ASSUMING 😂

I loved the first two books but still haven't read the third one even though I pre-ordered 😂
